HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND PERSONAL EFFECTS

Required Documents: Form ‘A’; original OBL/AWB; valued inventory; passports of consignee and family members.  Experts/advisers of UN agencies and foreign aid projects must have a Customs Pass Book. Returning residents and others must have a transfer of residence form and certificate from employer.

Customs Regulations: Shipments must be booked with 60 days of arrival of consignee in country. AWB/OBL must show owner’s name in consignee column.

Clearance: Customer presence required for clearance? Yes

Remarks: Form ‘A’ must be obtained from customs at airport at the time of shipper’s arrival. Must be duly signed and stamped by Customs before leaving Customs Hall.
