HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND PERSONAL EFFECTS

Required Documents: (1) OBL/AWB (2) Packing list (3) Client’s contact address (4) Copy of Passport (5) Malaysian Customs Form No. 1 (6) Letter of Authority

Customs Regulations: Subject to 100% customs examination at port of entry. Duties and taxes will be levied on items less than 6 months old.

Clearance: Customer presence required for clearance? Yes

Remarks: Import license issued by the National Electricity Board is required for all electrical goods. Advise agent in advance details such as brand, model, type, country of origin, voltage, amperes, etc. Video tapes are subject to approval by the Film Censorship Boards who will review and edit tapes, if necessary, before releasing to owners. A fee of between $5-$15 per tape, depending on length of tapes, will be levied by the Board.

PETS AND ANIMALS

Customs Regulations: Quarantine for 1 month.

Remarks: Must advise agent at least 2 weeks in advance of arrival so that quarantine space may be reserved.
