Required Documents: 1) Sales invoice clearly specifying item’s sale price, with date and place of purchase. Conditions of delivery (CIP, FOB, EXW, and CIF) must be also shown. 2) Transportation invoice notifying the cost of transport 3) Insurance policy, if applicable

Customs Regulations: Items are subject to Customs duties and VAT, unless items are included as social capital contribution of the company who import the goods.

Clearance: 6 days. Customer’s presence not required for clearance.

Remarks: Mark outside of wrapping for easy identification.

VEHICLES

Required Documents: 1) Sales invoice clearly specifying vehicle’s price paid, date and place of purchase, and conditions of delivery 2) Transportation invoice notifying the cost of transport (if applicable) 3) Original vehicle document showing owner’s name and engine and chassis number

Customs Regulations: Subject to Customs duties and VAR unless vehicles are included as social capital contribution of the company who is importing the vehicle. City cars over 1800 cubic meters are subject to additional fees – 50% of the vehicles value mentioned in invoice. (Off road vehicles are not included.)

Romanian repatriates can import into Romania free of Customs duties on any kind of goods (including POV) within 6 months from the date of getting residence in Romania, for only one time.
