Required Documents: Duty Exemption Certificate issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of His Majesty’s Government of Nepal. For Exemption Certificate, the Ministry will need: Original AWB/OBL, inventory list/packing list, total number of cases, weight, CIF value and insurance documents up to destination

Remarks: Authority letter is essential. Vehicles more than five years old are not allowed to be imported. Model, engine and chassis number of vehicle is required.
HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND PERSONAL EFFECTS
Required Documents: Duty Exemption Certificate issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of His Majesty’s Government of Nepal. Returning residents must have income source certificate from employer and original passport. Original AWB/OBL, inventory list/packing list, total number of cases, weight, CIF value and insurance documents up to destination for surface shipment is required.
Customs Regulations: Air Waybill or Ocean Bill of Lading must show owner’s name and address in consignee’s column, and clearing agent as Notify Party. “In Transit To Nepal Via Calcutta Port, India” must be mentioned in the OBL for surface shipments. Duty free to diplomats, UN agencies and Foreign Aid Projects having duty-free privilege on production of Duty Exemption Certificate, and dutiable to returning residents.
Clearance: Customer’s presence will be required for clearance.
Remarks: All items or car allowed to be imported duty-free for Diplomats, and personnel having duty-free privilege within six months of their arrival.

Required Documents: Health Certificate issued by a concerned Authority.
Customs Regulations: Allowed accompanied or as unaccompanied baggage.
Clearance: Customer’s presence is required for clearance.
